Trained personally under the reknowned Karen Kane as an intern for 3 years and apprenticed to Assistant Producer, prior to seeking her Commercial Music Degree in Production and Music Direction learning Protools Editing/Mixing, Studio Design, Studio Staging, Mic Set-ups, Vocal Booth Set-ups, Console for live recording, Outboard Gear for amplification and compression, Room Isolation and Sound Isolation, light mastering, and more! Karen was the first female producer in Boston and has multiple awards from 3 Juno Nominees to NC Producer of the Year. She was trained at Intermedia Sound, where Aerosmith recorded the famous Dream On album before going on to Berklee to get her music production degree.
Piano, Voice and Production Lessons
Amy has many years in teaching beginner to advanced piano in many styles from church chord texture, pop, jazz, or classical.. Amy makes sure that the foundations of Piano are sure, stable and ready to build upon. Vocal lessons are drawn from a medical and an artistic model for teaching with well established principles for warm-up, tonal color change, pitch correction and breath control. Amy believes that recording the voice is the best way for a student to truly listen to their own technique and grow their craft. Students can have a non-mandatory recital once they have reached an end of year mark.
Advises, Directs and Performs in gigging bands.
Amy has a history of Musical Direction in college and church settings. She also has a lengthy history of gigging in bands as a lead singer and as an ensemble band director in 4 gigging bands. She continues to perform with her own band today and serves at church on a weekly basis in ensemble keys and vocals. She is able to visit one of your own gigging bands (or soon to be) and advise on areas of improvement and teamwork or potentially substitute on vocals or light keys for your band.

Developed a small volunteer choir of 12 to 18 teen to adult volunteers who perform regularly in the special worship portion of the service or festival, obtaining and workshopping permitted works of art that fit the personality of this beautiful west Orange County body of Faith.
Home Studio & Trained in Commercial Studio Design
Amy is trained in acoustics, fundamentals of sound reinforcement, isolation and design. She has designed 4 in-home studios for herself and helped to install the recording studio for University of North Carolina Wilmington Campus (UNCW) for the recording of Kenan Auditorium and adjacent music halls. She is able to assist you to set up your own home studio by way of consultation time or visitation and can test your room for acoustic balance so that you can make the best listening space or recording opportunity.
